A Terra bor “projekt” 2017-ben született meg. Két nagyon tiszta és szép rajnai rizling adta az ötletet - az egyik bor (Terra I.) a Szent György hegyről szüretelt szőlőből készült, a Terra II. pedig a Tagyon-hegyről érkezett. A projekttel szerettük volna bemutatni és méltó módon reprezentálni a különféle terroirokat a Balaton felvidékről a rajnai rizlingen át. Reméljük, hogy mindenki fel tud majd fedezni egy kis szelet Balatont, vulkánt, és szépséget a Terra borainkban!
The idea of the Terra Project was born in 2017, inspired by two pure and beautiful Rieslings from Terra I, being St. György-Hegy (Mount St. George), and Terra II, being Tagyon-Hegy, 23 km to the northeast of St. György-Hegy along Lake Balaton. The Terra project is the comparison with our home terroir on St. György-Hegy and other terroirs from which we are able to source representative organic Riesling fruit. We believe in our volcanic-powered Rieslings but acknowledge beautiful terroir anywhere, and we have used the great Riesling grape to paint the canvas of each individual terroir.

This Riesling is a true expression of our volcanic terroir and surprises us every year with more and more depth and complexity. Hand-harvested and spontaneously fermented fruit pressed gently and aged in inox for 8 months and a further 2 years in the bottle.
Mineral, mineral, mineral! A true expression of our volcanic terroir, Terra I surprises us every year with more and more depth and complexity. Riesling all the way, hand-harvested and spontaneously fermented, then aged in inox for 8 months and a further 2 years in bottle. On the nose, a stone fruit array, ripe quince, and a slight hint of fresh fir-bud. The palate is deep and generous with salted, grilled peach, yogurt, African lemon, and a gentle, long, mineral finish.
Perhaps it is just the wine you have on one of those nights that involve deep talks with lifelong friends.
Terra III. - 2021 (Organic but not certified)
One of our favorites from the Terra Project. 100% Riesling, hand-harvested, gently pressed, and fermented in inox and matured in FlexCube tanks. Hints of beeswax, gasoline, and salty brine on the nose with herbaceous and mineral notes on the palate.
As much as we love German rieslings, we can’t help but adore the beautiful fruit and the luscious, elegant wine from Vászoly. Terra III follows in the line of previous Terra projects of Riesling comparisons, the first of which was made in 2018 (Terra II) with grapes from Tagyon-Hegy. 100% Riesling, hand-harvested, gently pressed, fermented in inox, and matured in FlexCube. Hints of beeswax, gasoline, and salty brine on the first whiff. Herbaceous and mineral on the palate, with an array of pear, quince, salty lime preserve, and olive. Complete with a silky smooth finish—pair it with a generous portion of fries, and your deck chair to watch the sunset over the water (we do recommend Lake Balaton, but any body of water will do!)
