George 2021 | Organic

Powerful, mineral wine with an elegant, long finish. Organically farmed Furmint, Riesling, and Welschriesling—hand-picked, spontaneously fermented, and matured in Hungarian oak barrels on fine lees for 7 months.

Georgio or George is based on the Greek word “georgos” meaning farmer, earthworker. We wanted to bring a wine to life that truly represents the true nature of our little mountain - the uplifting energy of the hero, St. George and the beauty of working with the treasures of Earth and taking care of them. Organically farmed Furmint, Riesling, and Welschriesling - all hand picked, and spontaneously fermented. Matured in stainless steel tanks, FlexCubes and 500L used Hungarian oak barrels on fine lees for 7 months. 

Delicate nose of smoked Maldon salt, fresh quince, and kiwi and a structured palate with grapefruit, pomelo, gooseberry, and a surprising roasted almond finish. Vinification

-Hand-picked, full bunch pressed, pneumatic press
-Wild yeast fermentation in 600L fermentation eggs
-Lees contact in stainless steel tank, 6 months
-Coarse filter before bottling
